The Harwich International Shanty Festival prides itself on hosting international shanty acts from the U.K and across the world. We provide a huge and varied programme of exciting events over the Festival weekend, the vast majority of which are available to the public for free. We can only do this with public support. Our hard working committee are all volunteers and this Community Festival is run as a “not for profit” organisation, with any surplus funds being ploughed into the Festival the following year. The future of the Festival and its ongoing success depends largely on continuing support from its many Friends and followers.
