The second competition, at 4pm on Saturday afternoon at the Alma Inn, is a new “Sing a Shanty” Competition. Open to solos, duos or groups, with points awarded for delivery, style and panache, suitable attire, presentation and acting ability.

Rules for Sing a Shanty Competition
Open to solo singers, duos or groups singing any shanty style song, traditional or contemporary. Unaccompanied only.
Points will be awarded for delivery, style and panache, suitable attire, presentation and acting ability
Points will be deducted for showing too much talent, too little talent or dressing as a pirate
Judges’ decision is final, but may be influenced!!
The winner(s) of this shameful competition will receive a bottle of rum (an alternative prize would be given if the winner is under 18)
