Well what a success the 2022 Harwich International Shanty Festival was! Thanks to all those who made it possible, including Artists, volunteers, committee and of course visitors. Artists for 2023
We are already receiving many enquiries about performing at our 2023 Festival. Decisions are usually made in the New Year. If you are interested in performing please do ask but we may not be able to give an immediate response. We are beginning the process of booking some artists however which leads us on to the next item -
Sponsorship
We are keen to book the very popular Catalan group El Pony Pisador for next years Festival. But the Ponies are quite rightly, making a name for themselves in their native Spain and further afield, resulting in a much larger fee than our Community Festival can afford.
We know there are a lot of people who would love to see this group again and so we are inviting sponsorship from individuals, groups and business to see if we can raise enough money to book this talented and entertaining group. Christmas Fundraiser
Last year we were forced to cancel our annual Christmas fundraiser because of the very uncertain Covid situation. With things looking a lot better on that front we are going ahead with a Fundraiser this year.
The 2022 fundraiser will be a Murder Mystery Cluedo style hunt around the town, as a change from the cryptic clue format. Suitable for all the family and with spot prizes as well as a prize for the overall winner, it depends on luck, speed and skill.
